Set-Up Instructions

Note: Before proceeding, ensure that you have downloaded and installed the SeamlessChex plugin on your site. If you don't have a SeamlessChex account, create one here.

1. Access your WordPress Admin dashboard.
2. Go to the "SeamlessChex" plugin menu.
3. Click on "General Settings."
   1. In this section, you need to enter your WooCommerce Consumer Keys and SeamlessChex API Secret Keys. These keys can be found in your SeamlessChex account's API settings.
4. If you are ready to process live payments, select the live mode option.
5. Save the changes by clicking the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom of the settings page.
6. Navigate to the WooCommerce Settings page.
7. Enable Seamless Chex as a payment method.
8. Now, Seamless Chex will be available as a payment option during the checkout process.
9. Additionally, you can track and manage all payments within your Seamless Chex Dashboard.

Checkout Options 

You have two options for the checkout process, depending on your business type and the necessary verification. You can choose between:

1. Allowing customers to connect their bank account by providing their Routing and Account Number (checkout without verification).
2. Opting for Plaid credentialed checkout, which provides a verified checkout experience.

To configure Plaid Checkout within the Seamless Chex plugin settings, follow these steps:

1. Access your Seamless Chex plugin settings.

2. Locate the "Payment Method Variant" dropdown.

3. In the dropdown, you will find two options to choose from:

   a. Pay with US Bank Account: If this is selected, the customer will only have the option to checkout with Plaid 

   b. Pay by eCheck & Pay with US Bank Account: If this is selected, the customer will see two options - pay manually or with Plaid

4. Select the desired option from the dropdown based on your requirements

By following these steps, you can configure Plaid Checkout by selecting the appropriate option from the "Payment Method Variant" dropdown in the Seamless Chex plugin settings.

 

eCheck Payment Statuses

Payment statuses are used to indicate the current state or stage of a payment transaction. They provide valuable information about the progress, success, or failure of a payment process. The table below describes Seamless Chex and corresponding WooCommerce Statuses statuses with their meanings.
